I’ve been a bit lazy when it comes to updating my website. Now I will tell you about the last painting I made 2023. Better late than never. As I have mentioned before, Norway has an exceptionally beautiful landscape. Admittedly a neighbouring country to Sweden, but the nature is another grove, especially the coastal landscape. The majestic mountains reflected in the deep waters of the fjords. A unique landscape that you cannot find anywhere else in the world, I would say. My motif is from south of Trondheim where we have good friends and where we spent fantastic days a few years ago.
Fjord, mountains, and tall pines.
It is a sunny summer day in the beginning of August, my husband and I have left the “cabin” where we stayed overnight and we´re out for a walk to discover the surroundings. The weather is not completely clear, but the clouds seem to be moving away to make way for the sun. The mountains on the other side of the fjord have a blue-green tone in the morning light. The water of the fjord, intense turquoise surface with only a few faint ripples on the water. The ground in the forest spreads out like a soft green carpet. The sturdy pines rise towards the sky, extra hardened I think as they must be able to withstand the strong winds that can blow along the coast. I have the place and this morning fresh in my memory and it was a magical and peaceful moment. I hope that I managed to convey the feeling of harmony to you who look at the painting as well.
