I grew up in southern Lapland, Sweden, surrounded by vast horizons and a silence that speaks its own language. Since 2002, I have been living in Valencia, Spain, where I run my own business alongside Brittas Art. My love for art has been with me for as long as I can remember. Painting has been a hobby for years, and now it is almost a calling. Over the years, my passion has deepened into something essential. Today, I cannot imagine my life without it. Art is my source of energy, my sanctuary, my way of restoring balance. It is, in many ways, therapy for the soul.
The landscapes of northern Sweden remain my greatest inspiration. The untouched wilderness, the shifting Arctic light, the endless skies and the shadows dancing across the snow, these are moments I strive to capture. Recreating that fragile, almost sacred light is both a challenge and a devotion. When a observer feels the stillness, the vastness, or a quiet sense of wonder before one of my paintings, I know I have succeeded. Many people in southern Europe have never experienced the immensity of northern Scandinavia. Through my work, I wish to share the poetry of that landscape its silence, strength, and subtle beauty.
Although landscapes are at the heart of my artistic expression, I also paint flowers, animals, and selected portraits. I gladly accept commissions, especially when someone wishes to preserve a cherished place, perhaps a beloved childhood landscape transformed into a timeless visual memory. I primarily work with acrylics. The medium’s quick drying time complements my intuitive and layered way of painting. Continuous studies in perspective, color theory, and composition have refined my technique, with composition being essential to achieving harmony and emotional balance within the canvas.
While I value the inspiration that comes from painting alongside other artists, I equally cherish the solitude of my studio. There, a quiet dialogue unfolds between me and the canvas a shared journey from the first spark of an idea to the finished work. Most of my paintings are created on canvas, though I also work on paper and wooden panels. I have explored a more unusual technique as well: painting on laser-cut, ultra-thin stone mounted on canvas. The natural texture of the stone guides the brush, allowing the material itself to become part of the landscape where art and nature merge into one.
Between 2014 and 2016, I was a member of the artists’ collective “Por Amor Al Arte”, under the direction of ACUDA – Asociación Cultural de Arte in Godella, Valencia. During these years, I participated in several collective exhibitions, where dialogue, creativity and shared inspiration shaped an important phase of my artistic development. Since 2012, I have also published an annual art calendar featuring twelve of my original works — a personal tradition that allows my art to accompany collectors and art lovers throughout the year.
