ALMOND BLOSSOM

Almond blossom.

I decided to paint another artwork in the same theme; flowers. This time the inspiration brought me to Spain and I chose to paint a branch from an almond tree in blossom. In the beginning or mid-February, almond trees are in bloom in the Valencia region. It is so beautiful when the bare branches of the almond trees are adorned with white-light pink flowers. It is the time of year when the landscape is a bit dull so the wonderful almond blossom gives hope of an upcoming spring. I really love when the almond trees are in bloom, and to watch the lovely contrast between the light pink flowers and the blue sky. The intense blue colour of the sky is so beautiful a sunny day in February. You better be out enjoying it as the bloom is over in a couple of weeks. Soon after the trees have finished flowering, the branches of the almond trees are covered with new light green leaves.

Another painting in a smaller size.

This painting is also of a smaller size and can be a colourful spot in an entrance or hall. I had to take out  my finest brush to paint  the smallest details. I hope you like it and that it spreads joy with its strong colours. The painting is still available so if you are interested just let me know. You can find the artwork under the category; Flowers.
