After yellow lemons, my inspiration wandered back to Sweden and a nice summer memory from last year. On a warm, lovely summer day, I decided to walk along the promenade that runs along lake Volgsj\u00f6n in central Vilhelmina. A lovely path to walk on, with the water of the lake on your left-hand side and trees and lush greenery on your right. A perfect walk to clear your mind and enjoy nature. After a while of walking, I discovered a raspberry thicket with lots of ripe red raspberries. I picked the sun-ripened berries and filled my hand. For me, it is often the small details that give life great richness. It is important that you learn to see them and appreciate them, I would say. I can still feel the sweet taste of the sun-warmed berries and they tasted like summer. To preserve this moment, I decided to paint my hand filled with freshly picked berries.<\/p>\n
A handful of raspberries.<\/strong><\/p>\n In the background you can see the lake and in the horizon some mountains on the other lake side. Some birches by the shore with their green leaves swaying in the wind. In my hand are the freshly picked berries. My greatest talent is not painting people, so an artist focused on portraits would have done much better work with the hand, but this is my interpretation of a hand. For the berries I mixed different red colours until I got the raspberry red colour that I wanted. Now it’s your turn to say if you think the painting breathes summer.
